The Seaforth Hawks will square off against the North Moore Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Last Friday, Seaforth made easy work of Graham and carried off a 23-8 victory. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Blair Hill was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two triples, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Abigail Johnson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Seaforth always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, North Moore put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 22-13 margin over Southeast Alamance. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Sydney Russell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ansley Preslar, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-6. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 3.5 RBI per game. Carly Monroe was another key player, scoring five runs while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.
Seaforth now has a winning record of 2-1. As for North Moore, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
