Weber has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Syracuse Titans at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Weber will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Syracuse is ranked 13th).
Even though Weber has not done well against Farmington recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Weber came out on top against Farmington by a score of 53-42.
Weber can attribute much of their success to Abby Sayer, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sayer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Jugler, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Syracuse stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Layton 59-23 at home. The victory was nothing new for Syracuse as they're now sitting on four straight.
Weber's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Syracuse, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.
Weber was taken down by Syracuse 55-22 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Weber avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
