The Lake Havasu Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Lake Havasu's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Sunrise Mountain's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Lake Havasu's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Kellis with a sharp 12-0 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by eight runs or more this season.

Carson Lockman made a big impact no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Lake Havasu got a big performance out of Brock Cross, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Deegan Cross was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI.
Lake Havasu was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kellis only posted a batting average of .000.
Meanwhile, Sunrise Mountain fell victim to Centennial and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coyotes. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Mustangs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Ethan Dinnell was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
Lake Havasu has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Sunrise Mountain, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lake Havasu has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Sunrise Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
