Eastview and Eagan are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2023, but likely not for long. The Lightning will host the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Eastview's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Eagan has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Eastview had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Lakeville North on Monday. The Lightning blew past the Panthers 11-1. Considering the Lightning have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Eagan was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They lost 9-1 to Lakeville South.
Eagan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlyn Barry, who went 1-for-4 with one double. That double was Barry's first of the season.
Eastview's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Eagan, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
Everything went Eastview's way against Eagan when the teams last played back in April, as Eastview made off with a 14-5 win. Will the Lightning repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
