The Wake Prep Academy Guardians will head out on the road to face off against the Wakefield Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wake Prep Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 428th, while Wakefield is ranked 25th).
Last Thursday, Wake Prep Academy was beaten by John Paul II Catholic 78-38. Wake Prep Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Wakefield put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Northern Durham 69-53.
Wakefield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tristian Pretlow led the charge by scoring 12 points along with 3 steals. Pretlow continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Taj Boone-Chambers was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
The losses dropped Wake Prep Academy to 5-4 and John Paul II Catholic to 2-4.
