Paradise Valley's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Ironwood Eagles with a sharp 9-2 win. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.
Calan Platt looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Braedan Lewis was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Adair Ortiz, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
