Last Friday, Melbourne was the victim of a tough 50-28 loss at the hands of Heritage. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Melbourne in their matchups with Heritage: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Melbourne had strong showings from Addyson Turba, who scored 7 points, and Quinteria Coger, who scored 6 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Calvary Chapel Academy, who are still winless after their fifth match. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-32 walloping at the hands of Cocoa Beach on Friday. Calvary Chapel Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-8.
Satellite's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Melbourne's defeat dropped theirs to 2-3.
Melbourne ended up a good deal behind Calvary Chapel Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2022, losing 57-41. Can Melbourne avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
