Soccer Recap: Chief Sealth Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Chief Sealth and Eastside Catholic have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Seahawks came up short against the Crusaders, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Chief Sealth can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while Eastside Catholic are ranked 36th).

Chief Sealth's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Eastside Catholic, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0-2.

Chief Sealth and Eastside Catholic will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Seahawks see the pitch they'll take on Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Eastside Catholic, their break will end when they face Ingraham at 4:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
