Falcon Christian Academy put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 75-33 victory over Calvary Baptist Church. Given Falcon Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while Calvary Baptist Church is ranked 694th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jordan McMillian was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Meech McDaniel, who scored ten points along with eight assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Father Capodanno, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 72-54 loss to LifeSpring Academy on Thursday. Father Capodanno has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Falcon Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Father Capodanno, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
Everything came up roses for Falcon Christian Academy against Father Capodanno in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 98-54 victory.
