Fultondale extended the longest winning streak in 2A Region 6 this week by beating Victory Christian, 61-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Ranburne made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,132 from 9,328. The advance stemmed from a 43-40 victory over the Bulldogs last week.
Woodland's John Wes Adcock and Tyler Rollins have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Adcock has thrown for 758 yards this season, while Rollins, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 12 catches for 313 yards. Fultondale's Ardarius Stewart leads the league in rushing yards with 1378.
The Bobcats' Michael Howard is a mere 60 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 133 carries Howard has accumulated 940 yard this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Woodland takes on the Yellowjackets. Stephen Bailey's team is in first place, while Vincent is in third place.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Keith Register's team takes on Ranburne. The Wildcats have allowed 154 points this season, while Chad Young's team has given up 161. Fultondale allowed 0 points last week as it topped the Lions.
The Wildcats led 2A Region 6 in scoring this week after putting up 61 points on Victory Christian.
