Valor Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their match with ease, bagging a 42-14 victory over the Mullen Mustangs. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valor Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Titus Huard, who threw for 201 yards and two TDs on perfect 6-for-6 passing. Mullen's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Bonner, who picked up 119 receiving yards and one score. Bonner also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making one tackle.
Valor Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Mullen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Looking ahead, Valor Christian will venture away from home to square off against Ralston Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mullen, they will welcome Regis Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
