If Rio Mesa was feeling good fresh off their 13-2 takedown of Pacifica on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Rio Mesa fell just short of the Oak Park Eagles by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sophia Roman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Rio Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Oak Park, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Rio Mesa didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-4 defeat against Westlake on the 22nd. As for Oak Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-3 victory against West Ranch on the 22nd.
