The Bridgeton Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 85-31 victory over Buena on the road. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Jameel Purnell was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zikwon Anderson, who scored 20 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Bridgeton and bumps their season record up to 9-11. As for Buena, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-19.
Bridgeton will look to defend their home court on Monday against Cedar Creek at 5:30 p.m. Cedar Creek is coming into the match with five straight defeats on the road, meaning Bridgeton will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Buena, they will take on Egg Harbor Township at TBD on Monday.
