On Wednesday Connor Finan struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits, which was good enough to set a new career-high in strikeouts. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than two walks. For the season, he has an ERA of 2.33 over 6 innings pitched.

Looking ahead, Finan and Penncrest will face off against Garnet Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Lions have some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since April of 2015, but a win here would be a good start.
