Softball Recap: Olympia Wins Going Away Against Bethel

Olympia never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Bethel on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Bison with a sharp 18-9 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by nine runs or more this season.

Olympia got a massive performance out of Sydney Potvin, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Avery Mauldin, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Olympia lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more home runs.

Olympia's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Bethel, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Olympia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bethel, they will head out to face off against Spanaway Lake at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bison are facing the Sentinels at the right time seeing as the Sentinels are stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
