Football Recap: Minarets Piles Up the Points Against Fresno

Minarets put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Fresno Warriors, posting a 48-7 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

A big part of Minarets' win came down to the chemistry between Torin Wolf and his top target Caden Larsen. Wolf threw for 370 yards and six touchdowns while completing 73.1% of his passes while Larsen picked up 229 receiving yards and three TDs. Larsen really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 90 yards.

Minarets' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Fresno, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Minarets will head out to face off against Fowler at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Mustangs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. After each having a week off, Fresno and Torres will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th. The matchup will also give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season.
