Hayezon Jackson Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Clayton Valley Charter got the W thanks in part to Hayezon Jackson playing the best football he has all season. Jackson rushed for 224 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (110.7) per game. His longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards.
The win was the third in a row for Clayton Valley Charter, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Jackson and Clayton Valley Charter will look to defend their home field on Friday against Acalanes at 7:00 p.m.

Josh Elerts Delivers Best Performance of Season
Josh Elerts produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Acalanes to the win on Friday. Elerts rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made a tackle.
Acalanes pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Elerts and Acalanes will square off against Clayton Valley Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Roman Mercado Dazzles in Las Lomas Loss
Las Lomas was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Roman Mercado did his best to prevent it. Mercado turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 192 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Mercado is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Campolindo on Friday. Mercado picked up 204 receiving yards and three touchdowns the last time he and the Cougars duked it out back in October of 2023.

Blair Made His Presence Known in Miramonte's 35-28 Defeat
Miramonte had to settle for second on Friday, but Carson Blair sure wasn't going down easily. Blair turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 348 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 36 yards and two touchdowns.
Miramonte's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. Blair and Miramonte will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Las Lomas at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Dylan Thomas Makes It Two for Las Lomas
