The William Allen Canaries will be home for the holidays to greet the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. William Allen is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
Last Saturday, William Allen was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-52 to Pocono Mountain East. While losing is never fun, William Allen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while Pocono Mountain East is ranked 67th).
Meanwhile, Nazareth Area had just enough and edged Bethlehem Catholic out 51-49 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Nazareth Area.
William Allen's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Nazareth Area, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
William Allen took their win against Nazareth Area in their previous matchup back in January of 2020 by a conclusive 69-46. Will William Allen repeat their success, or does Nazareth Area have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
