Centralia/Wetmore extended the longest winning streak in Twin Valley this week by beating Troy, 55-18. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Washington County took down Bennington 45-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Andrew Tiemeyer ran for 252 yards and caught 1 pass for 18 yards during the win.
Tiemeyer provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Tigers bested the Bulldogs. Tiemeyer's favorite target this week was Cole Thompson, who caught 7 passes for 135 yards.
Brett Herrs made the biggest impact on defense this week as Washington County beat Bennington. The 6-foot-2 junior racked up 1 sack.
Tiemeyer was a force in the backfield as Daniel Vaughn's team topped Tim Dolloff's team.
Thompson was the best wideout in the league this week as the Tigers bested the Bulldogs. Thompson tallied 7 receptions for 135 yards. Kyle Edgar helped Washington County's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 36 yards.
Washington County's Konner Penning and Thompson have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Penning has thrown for 1,038 yards this season, while Thompson has 35 catches for 498 yards. Michael Bliss from Onaga leads the league in rushing with 903 yards.
Bliss of the the Buffaloes is just 97 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 145 carries Bliss has put up 903 yards this year.
A big matchup in Twin Valley this week will be when Centralia/Wetmore takes on Doniphan West. At the moment, Larry Glatzak's team is in first, while the Mustangs are in sixth.
The Panthers led the league in scoring this week by notching 55 points on the Trojans. J.T. Rosine threw for 84 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 11 yards in the win.
