After four games on the road, McMinn Central is heading back home. They will take on the Polk County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully McMinn Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Monday.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 79-40, which was the final score in McMinn Central's tilt against Bradley Central. McMinn Central has not had much luck with Bradley Central recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Brayden Bystry put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored ten points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Cooper, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, even though Marion County scored an imposing 61 points on Monday, Polk County still came out on top. Polk County walked away with a 70-61 win over Marion County.
McMinn Central's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10. As for Polk County, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-9.
McMinn Central strolled past Polk County in their previous meeting on Friday by a score of 59-44. Will McMinn Central repeat their success, or does Polk County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
