South Williamsport and Faith Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but South Williamsport had to settle for second. They lost 11-4 to the Lions. The Mountaineers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Chance Quimby was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.

At the plate, South Williamsport saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Stoetzel, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.

South Williamsport's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Faith Christian Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

South Williamsport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Faith Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Mount Union on the 9th.
