Despite the loss, Bonsall still got an impressive performance from Nathan Winebrenner, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The match was Winebrenner's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Phoenix Young was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
Gompers Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Bonsall, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gompers Prep Academy will take on Rock Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Averaging 55.6 so far this season, Rock Academy's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Gompers Prep Academy better be ready for a challenge.
