Narragansett Regional have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge West Boylston/Tahanto on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. The two teams have set a high bar for this matchup after stand-out offensive performances in their previous contests.
Narragansett Regional had a rough outing against Lunenburg three weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Narragansett Regional put the hurt on Gardner with a sharp 35-6 win.
Meanwhile, West Boylston/Tahanto got themselves on the board against Gardner last Saturday, but Gardner never followed suit. West Boylston/Tahanto steamrollered Gardner 39-0. The margin was wide but not a surprise since West Boylston/Tahanto are ranked far ahead of Gardner in the MaxPreps state rankings.
Their wins bumped West Boylston/Tahanto to 7-0 and Narragansett Regional to 3-2. With both Narragansett Regional and West Boylston/Tahanto swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
