On Monday, the Jackson-Reed Tigers faced the Eastern Ramblers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Jackson-Reed came out on top against Eastern by a score of 41-33. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Jackson-Reed has scored all year.

Muhammed is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kryslynn Stewart, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
The win was the fifth in a row for Jackson-Reed, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. As for Eastern, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson-Reed will face off against Dunbar at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Dunbar is on a three-game streak of home wins, Jackson-Reed a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Eastern, they will head out on the road to face off against Ballou at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ballou comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
