Hamilton Heights barely beat Clinton Prairie the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Nick Hulen was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Hamilton Heights' success: when he allows at most three hits the team is 3-1 (and 6-17 when he doesn't). Hulen was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs.
In other pitching news, Kaden Lawson looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hamilton Heights is 5-2 when Lawson allows one or fewer earned runs, but 4-16 otherwise.
