Cactus has gone a perfect 7-0 against Agua Fria recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Cobras will face off against the Owls at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cactus has five straight wins, Agua Fria has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
On Thursday, Cactus got the win against Yuma by a conclusive 3-0.
One reason for the win was Cactus' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-8.

Cactus' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Haley Stewart led the charge by getting six digs and four aces. What's more, Stewart racked up seven assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Faith Connell, who had ten digs and three assists.
They weren't the only good servers: Cactus was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Agua Fria came up short against Westview on Wednesday and fell 3-1.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 23-25, 25-11, 25-18.
Agua Fria's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Cactus, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
Everything went Cactus' way against Agua Fria when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Cactus made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Cobras have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Owls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
