Softball Recap: Arcanum Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Arcanum extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 13-6 in the process. They put the hurt on the Bradford Railroaders with a sharp 17-0 victory. Considering the Trojans have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Bradford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Bradford's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Elsner, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Coming up, Arcanum will be playing at home against Twin Valley South at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.78 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bradford, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ansonia at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Railroaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
