Hamilton Heights and Tipton are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Hamilton Heights Huskies will be playing at home against the Tipton Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Hamilton Heights came up short against Maconaquah and fell 62-54. While losing is never fun, Hamilton Heights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Maconaquah is ranked 101st).
Meanwhile, after a string of 14 wins, Tipton's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a hard 70-51 fall against Kokomo. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tipton in their matchups with Kokomo: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the defeat, Tipton got a solid performance out of Grady Carpenter, who scored 23 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Carpenter has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Jackson Money was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Hamilton Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Tipton, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-1.
