The biggest upset of the week belonged to Oak Park-River Forest, who took down 43rd ranked Lyons, 35-34.
Brian Owens and John Claussen provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Hinsdale South. The connection was good for 71 yards, the longest such play in West Suburban - Silver this season.
Hinsdale Central's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Owens threw for 346 and two touchdowns and Claussen had 115 yards receiving. On the ground Jack Adams chipped in 104 yards. Adams helped Hinsdale Central's passing attack out by catching four balls for 66 yards.
Hinsdale Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Red Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Owens has thrown for 1451 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Ian Bunting has 16 catches for 412 yards. Adams leads the league in rushing with 700 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Downers Grove North takes on Proviso West. At the moment, the Trojans are in third, while the Panthers are in fourth.
The Red Devils' Adams recorded the longest rushing play in West Suburban - Silver this season in his game against the Hornets last week.
