  Peyton Hillman and  Dre Smith were among the main playmakers for Lakeland as the former threw for 241 yards and five  touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes and the latter rushed for 110 yards and a pair of  TDs on only nine carries. 99 of  Hillman's passing yards were hauled in by Jace Taylor.
 Meanwhile,  Sandpoint played a tough  matchup  on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through  a    54-27 loss at the hands of Lewiston. The Bulldogs were down  40-13 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
 Lakeland's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Sandpoint, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Friday's  game will pit two  of the most dominant  signal callers against one another:  Hillman and  Braden Buckhout. Hillman just won't slow down this season and  has thrown 20 touchdowns (and  and only 1 picks) while averaging 192.7 passing yards per game. Buckhout has been a dominant force too and  has thrown 16 touchdowns while averaging 197.4 passing yards per game.
 Everything came up roses for Lakeland against Sandpoint in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024, as the  squad secured  a  41-7 victory. In that  contest, the Hawks amassed a halftime lead of  20-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat  on Friday.
