Softball Recap: Central's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Central had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the South Beauregard Knights. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Central pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for South Beauregard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Coincidentally, Central and South Beauregard will both be playing Brusly the next time they take the field. South Beauregard will head out to face Brusly at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Central will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
