Jones is 10-0 against Sinton since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Jones Trojans will be playing at home against the Sinton Pirates at 6:15 p.m. Sinton took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Jones, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Jones didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Ingleside, but they still walked away with a 32-28 victory.
Jones relied on the efforts of Danielle Gonzales, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two blocks, and Abby Del Bosque, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Gonzales posted two or more blocks.
Sinton suffered their biggest defeat since November 10, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by West Oso on the road and fell 50-18. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sinton in their matchups with West Oso: they've now lost six in a row.
Jones has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 16-12 record this season. As for Sinton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-18.
Jones was able to grind out a solid victory over Sinton when the teams last played on January 2nd, winning 40-31. Does Jones have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sinton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
