Bowie owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. Everything went their way against the Haltom Buffalos as they made off with a 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Volunteers, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Isaiah Henderson, who gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks to keep Haltom off the board. Henderson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jaxon Turner, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.

Bowie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.

The win made it two in a row for Bowie and bumps their season record up to 20-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Haltom, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-10.

Looking ahead, Bowie will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwest at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Haltom, they will host Azle at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Buffalos are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
