If the Tolono Unity Rockets were feeling good off their 56-26 takedown of the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Tolono Unity took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tuscola. Tolono Unity has struggled against Tuscola recently, as their match on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Several Rockets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addison Ray, who scored 12 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Raegen Stringer, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Tolono Unity's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Tuscola, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tolono Unity will square off against St. Thomas More at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tuscola, they will head out on the road to square off against Cerro Gordo/Bement at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cerro Gordo/Bement is on a six-game streak of home wins, Tuscola a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
