Tri-County - Stone recap October 22, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Tri-County - Stone this week, Hercules beat Richmond 46-0. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Titans.
Swett scaled the state rankings by moving to 968 from 1,015 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Indians were able to move up by besting De Anza 41-20.
Swett's dynamic duo of James Sykes and Deondre Hendricks proved to be unstoppable against the Dons, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Sykes threw for 56 yards and Hendricks had 56 yards receiving.
Erine Timoteo was a beast in the backfield as Kennedy defeated Albany.
Timoteo provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Eagles topped the Cougars. Timoteo's key target this week was Austin Taunoa, who caught 2 passes for 33 yards.
Hercules' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Titans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. LOUIS MICHAEL has thrown for 487 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while ANTWUIN PROWES has 19 catches for 373 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Josh Vallis' team takes on Kennedy. As it stands, the Indians are in second, while Rae Jackson's team is in third.
Swett made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 13,562 from 14,021. The improvement was largely due to a 41-20 victory over De Anza last week.
