The Eastwood Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 22 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 55-33 margin over Otsego. The win was nothing new for Eastwood as they're now sitting on five straight.
Otsego's loss on Saturday came despite strong showings from Sam Lehr and Jocelyn Cornell. Lehr scored 16 points along with nine rebounds, while Cornell scored ten points along with seven rebounds. Lehr scored a full 48.5% of Otsego's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Eastwood's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Otsego, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastwood will square off against Oak Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Harbor will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Otsego, they will head out on the road to face off against Fostoria at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Fostoria's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Otsego has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
