The Jasper Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the East Limestone Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jasper is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 17 games.
Jasper put the finishing touches on their 15th blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Ramsay with a sharp 41-15 win. Given Jasper's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Ramsay is ranked 90th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jasper's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hallie Harrell, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Missy Odom, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, East Limestone and Ardmore squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly East Limestone had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Tigers 59-28.
Jasper's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-4. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35 points. As for East Limestone, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.
