Menlo-Atherton has gone 6-1 against Burlingame recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bears will host the Panthers at 5:45 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Menlo-Atherton will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Carlmont, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bears came out on top against the Scots by a score of 3-1 two weeks ago. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.
Menlo-Atherton walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 19-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Menlo-Atherton's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Coen Chou, who had 19 assists and ten digs, and Nick Sandoval, who had 23 digs. Those 23 digs gave Sandoval a new career-high.
Menlo-Atherton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carlmont only served five aces.
Meanwhile, Burlingame waltzed into their matchup on Monday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Padres.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Burlingame who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 27-25, 20-25, 25-20, 19-25, 15-6.
Burlingame pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Menlo-Atherton, their victory bumped their record up to 21-5.
Menlo-Atherton beat Burlingame 3-1 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
