Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Pioneer couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 55-29 to the South Putnam Eagles on Friday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

South Putnam was led to victory by Ty Benton and Drew Cline. Benton gained 181 total yards and a touchdown, while Cline threw for 189 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes. Benton's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 11th straight game with at least 120 rushing yards.

Pioneer's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2. As for South Putnam, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

As of now, neither Pioneer nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
