The Fultondale Wildcats suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 53-29 loss at the hands of Dora. Fultondale has struggled against Dora recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Dora got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bella Reese out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. Reese is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'laya Harris, who scored 15 points along with four steals and two blocks.
Fultondale's loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.6 points per game. As for Dora, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-4.
Fultondale will be playing in front of their home fans against Corner at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Dora's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sumiton Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 25th. Sumiton Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 277th, while Dora is ranked 124th).
