Basketball Recap: Saranac Piles Up the Points Against Northern Adirondack

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saranac). They blew past the Northern Adirondack Bobcats 70-43 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Spartans have posted since February 8, 2024.

Saranac was led to victory by Carson Duffield and Xavier Dubay. Duffield posted 15 points along with eight rebounds and five assists, while Dubay had 19 points and seven boards. Those seven rebounds gave Dubay a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Henry Napper, who scored six points in addition to five boards and three steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Saranac was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Saranac's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Northern Adirondack, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Saranac wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 81-53 win against Massena on the 25th. As for Northern Adirondack, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-43 loss against Ticonderoga on the 24th.
