Basketball Recap: Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South Comes Up Short

After flying high against College Park Academy last Friday, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South came back down to earth. The Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South Tigers took a blow against the Fairmont Heights Hornets on Tuesday, falling 86-53. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-23.

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Riley, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Exton, who put up ten points.

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Fairmont Heights, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 80-66 loss against Gwynn Park on the 19th. Fairmont Heights has also already played their next contest, a 58-54 defeat against Severn School on the 20th.
