A D2 Region 2 Top Player Performances of the Week

Chris Cole Turns in Season-Best  Performance
 On Friday, Brooks County got the W thanks in part to  Chris Cole playing the best football he has all season. Cole rushed for 235 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry.
 The  win (which was Brooks County's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. Cole and Brooks County will head out to  face off against Charlton County  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.

Grant Came Up Big in Turner County's  37-27  Defeat
 While Turner County might've come up empty  on Thursday,  Curtis Grant wasn't going down without a fight. Grant was unstoppable, picking up 66 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 110 yards and a touchdown.
 Grant is probably looking forward to his next game, a  road matchup against Clinch County on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time  Grant saw the Panthers), he picked up 77 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown.

Luke Snyder's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Irwin County over Clinch County
 Irwin County was sadly handed a  defeat on Friday, but  Luke Snyder did his best to prevent it. Despite the   loss,  Snyder was still balling out as he rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 155 yards and a touchdown.
 Irwin County moved to 7-1 with that  defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak. Snyder and Irwin County will face off against Lanier County at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.

Marquis Williams Makes It Two for Brooks County
 The second Brooks County player making an appearance here is  Marquis Williams, and for good reason. He picked up  two  sacks and made five total tackles.
 This season,  Williams  has averaged 5.4 total tackles per game  and for the season has 12 sacks.
