St. Joseph Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Vanlue Wildcats. One positive for the Crimson Streaks, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

St. Joseph Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Vanlue, with the victory, they broke their 26-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4.

St. Joseph Central Catholic is taking a road trip to square off against St. Mary Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vanlue, they will be home for the holidays to greet Ridgedale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgedale will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Vanlue surely won't give up without a fight.
