The Mt. Abraham Eagles will face off against the U-32 Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Mt. Abraham is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Harwood 12-4. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on 11 straight.
Evan Corrigan and Abe Ready were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Corrigan pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Ready tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. At bat, Corrigan went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Ready got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Cameron Castillo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Stefan Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Mt. Abraham kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, U-32 faced Hartford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Raiders' pitchers stepped up to hand the Hurricanes a 7-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they've now won three in a row.
Mt. Abraham's record now sits at 13-1-1. As for U-32, their record is now 9-5.
Mt. Abraham beat U-32 5-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2019. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
