The New Covenant Christian Flames were the 73-61 winner over the Conestoga Christian Cougars when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. New Covenant Christian received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 54-37 to Conestoga Christian.
Tycen VanDerPloog and Keenan Stoner certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. VanDerPloog scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds, while Stoner scored 9 points along with 9 rebounds.
New Covenant Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Conestoga Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Covenant Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lancaster County Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Lancaster County Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday. As for Conestoga Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against High Point Baptist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. High Point Baptist Academy and Conestoga Christian are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
