For the second straight game, Hersey will face off against Rolling Meadows. The Huskies will host the Mustangs at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Hersey 3.2, Rolling Meadows 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
If Hersey beats Rolling Meadows with six runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Huskies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Mustangs on Monday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Lincoln Causero tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024.
On the hitting side, Chuck Meister and Wyatt Groberski did most of the damage at the plate: Meister went 3-for-4 with one home run, while Groberski went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave Groberski a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Charlie Arvanitis, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Hersey was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rolling Meadows only posted a batting average of .200.
Hersey pushed their record up to 16-3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Rolling Meadows, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Hersey has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Rolling Meadows struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
