Grantsville is a perfect 3-0 against Uintah since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cowboys will head out to face off against the Utes at 2:00 p.m. Grantsville is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
Grantsville proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 15) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Morgan 7-5.

Addison Durfee and Eden Ressel did most of the damage at the plate: Durfee scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Ressel scored a run while going 2-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave Durfee a new career-high. Emmy Butler also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Uintah). They put the hurt on Provo with a sharp 27-0 victory on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Utes in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.
Abbie Davis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Uintah got a massive performance out of Kayla Olson, who scored five runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Hannah Morrow, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Uintah kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matchups.
Grantsville's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Uintah, their record is now 13-5.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Grantsville has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .435. However, it's not like Uintah struggles in that department as they've averaged .462. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Grantsville was able to grind out a solid victory over Uintah when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-1. Will the Cowboys repeat their success, or do the Utes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
