Round Top-Carmine has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the North Zulch Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Round Top-Carmine didn't have too much trouble with Richards at home as they won 55-37. Round Top-Carmine pushed the score to 44-22 by the end of the third, a deficit Richards cut but never quite recovered from.
Meanwhile, North Zulch had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They put the hurt on McDade with a sharp 50-24 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory North Zulch has posted since November 17, 2023.
Round Top-Carmine has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for North Zulch, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5.
Round Top-Carmine came up short against North Zulch in their previous meeting on January 2nd, falling 49-45. Can Round Top-Carmine avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
