The Ashdown Panthers made easy work of the Stuttgart Ricebirds on Friday and carried off an 8-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Ashdown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. With the loss, Stuttgart broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ashdown will face off against Woodlawn at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Woodlawn will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Ashdown surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stuttgart, they will take on Warren at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Stuttgart is on a three-game streak of home wins, Warren a six-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
